It’s been quite the week. I have a girlfriend coming in to visit for the weekend so I’ve been super busy trying to get the rest of the house decorated and cleaned up before she arrives. I’m going to do my best to get the rest photographed and ready for posts for next week, but until then I thought I’d share the quick and easy way I dressed up the staircase this season.
Many of you caught sight of the bells hanging on the staircase banister from my last post or photos on Instagram.
I love a staircase draped with garland, but I didn’t have any on hand and didn’t see anything in the stores that I liked enough to bring home…and the real thing is just too much work – so much sweeping…so I grabbed a couple of those faux pine sprays I had and a string of rustic bells (you can find them here) and hung them together to make pretty little statement at the base of the stairs.
The bells were already strung on a chunky knotted rope, so I just slid a few stems into the knots, tied a piece of twine around each stem to keep it tight and then hung them on a Command hook on the post.
Such a simple and quick way to dress up a staircase – or anywhere really. It could even work in place of a wreath on the door. Lots and lots of options with this one.
Hope you all have a great weekend – I’ll be back with more Christmas decor soon!
