We will be heading back to Michigan for Thanksgiving this year, so we won’t be hosting Thanksgiving dinner, but I thought I would put together a simple tablescape to share with you anyway.
I had big plans for the kind of table I was going to do.
Pumpkins, and candles, and metallic leaves, and pretty little place settings.
But then I procrastinated.
And a bunch of my pumpkins rotted.
And then I procrastinated some more.
And I ended up being down to the wire and completely unprepared and considered not doing one at all.
But then I thought that just maybe, some of you may be dealing with busy schedules, and rotting pumpkins, and procrastination issues too – so why not throw something really simple together.
No metallic leaves.
No elaborate place settings.
Just a little candlelight, a few natural textures, and a pretty pop of autumn color.
A group of glass candlesticks over a jute runner is rustic elegance that’s not too heavy.
Simple white plates over wicker chargers keep it natural and neutral.
And leaf patterned napkins add a pop of fall.
And I think I like this better than the pumpkins, or the metallic leaves, or the fancy place settings.
Simplicity always wins in my book. 🙂
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
