I think Halloween can be one of the most fun holidays to decorate for, and yet I rarely do it.
This year, I really
went all out did almost nothing at all and added some bats to my front door
A couple of crows to my fall mantel
Are you feeling the Halloween spirit?
Yeah, I know…me neither.
On the plus side, this is more than I have done in the last few years. So we’ll call that a step in the right direction! 🙂
I still have a few pumpkins to carve, but with a busy weekend ahead, that’s probably all that’s going to happen Halloween-wise around the Smith house.
But just in case you’re looking to add a little more Halloween flair to your home this weekend (there’s still time!) I’ve rounded up a few ideas that can bring an extra dose of spooky fun all around the house…
Carve ghoulish fun faces into a few white pumpkins (or paint your orange pumpkins white!) to mix in with your traditional orange jack-o-lanterns. I love the Tim Burton-ish look of these pumpkins.
Spiders are scary. Scatter them all over the front of your house for a creepy crawly way to greet Trick-or-Treaters. Add cobwebs for even more fun.
Gather a few crows, some old books, and pumpkins for a fun console table or mantel display inside.
Get crafty and create a fun wreath for over the mantel or the front door. I love how this one is both spooky and elegant at the same time.
Dress up your Halloween decorating by adding in a little metallic flair.
Create a spooky beverage station for your Halloween party.
Spanish moss, old books, black and metallic accents, and candlelight all come together to create the perfect Halloween mantel.
