Good morning friends!
My little office makeover is in full swing – and I’m super excited about it. I finished up painting over the weekend and I thought I’d share a sneak peek at the new lighter, brighter look.
I ended up choosing a color called Dune White (tinted at 50%) by Benjamin Moore. I went with a half tint because the color came across as beige in this dark little room most of the time, and I wanted more of a white color in here. Asking for a partial tint is a great way to get a lighter version of a color if you love the shade but wish it were a bit lighter (or if you wanted to go darker I suppose you could ask for more tint).
I love how bright and spacious this teeny tiny room feels now. And I especially love how the ceiling light pops – it never really stood out before, and it’s one of my favorite lights in the house. It’s about time it gets the attention it deserves! 😀
To continue with my love of natural fiber rugs, I chose a seagrass rug with a sand colored border to place under the desk. Such pretty texture on this rug – and it’s actually not too uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. I wouldn’t put it in a living room, but I think it will be perfect for this office.
Speaking of the desk, we just got it put together and I’ve been playing around with placement – I think I’ve settled on the layout. I’ll share more on that soon.
Hope your week is off to a great start! 🙂
