You know those articles in magazines where they show you an item for one price and then find a similar looking item at a less expensive price?
I kind of love those articles.
I have no idea why.
But since I do find them to be so much fun, I decided to create my own and rounded up a few fun farmhouse finds to share with you today.
So, I’m really hoping you find them kind of fun too. 🙂
Noting beats the casual elegance of a white slipcovered sofa. I can personally vouch for the quality and comfort of the PB Basic from Pottery Barn – we absolutely love ours and have not regretted the purchase.
For a third of the cost you can get an almost identical lookalike in the Ikea Ektorp. I haven’t really read anything negative about it – if they had made a smaller sectional like the one we found at Pottery Barn, I probably would have went the Ektorp route myself.
If you’re a fan of Joanna Gaines and Fixer Upper, it is quite likely you’ve drooled over this beautiful striped pillow. The combination of bold stripes and soft linen texture get me every time I see it.
Slightly lighter in color, but still just as striking – this gray and white pillow is a great compromise.
Featuring weathered wood and beautiful carved detail, this chandelier makes a statement.
A little more simple in design, but still full of delicious weathered wood goodness.
I love anything that has fringe and that reminds me of an antique grainsack so this kitchen towel grabbed my attention right away.
$4. ‘Nuff said.
I love the combination of linen slipcovered chairs with an antique dining table, so I have drooled over these chairs for years.
This chair brings nubby farmhouse texture as well as a cute tie detail on the back – for less than half the price.
Olive buckets – rusty metal perfection and so handy for all around the house.
Offered in two different sizes to meet your storage needs – this similar bucket is an amazing deal.
If you love farmhouse style, then you probably love dough bowls. They’re a staple.
Ok, so not really a dough bowl – but the size and carved look make this tray a truly great alternative.
Love the luxurious look and casual tie detail on this duvet set.
No tie detail, but a worthy lookalike nonetheless.
Antique-like turned legs and a rustic appearance – the perfect pairing for this simple but beautiful desk.
A bit smaller in size, but still full of vintage charm. Add your own bin pull to the drawer for even more antique appeal.
Understated but still eye-catching, this chandelier would look so beautiful hanging over a rustic table in a dining room adorned with white painted shiplap walls.
The differences are subtle – making this striking chandelier a beautiful, cost-effective alternative.
