Our living room walls are pretty empty.
Like almost completely empty.
Craving a blank slate after Christmas, I refused to hang anything up – but slowly I’ve been wanting that little bit of personality to add an extra “oomph” to the room.
But where exactly was that “oomph” going to come from?
I dug around in the basement, checked all the closets, and took a good hard look at every mirror, picture, and basket I had hanging around this house – but nothing felt quite right. I didn’t know what I wanted, but I knew it wasn’t in the house.
So I waited for it to find me. 😉
Strolling through one of my favorite antique stores a few weeks ago, I spotted a charming old printers tray. I knew the beautifully worn wood and simple metal accent would feel right at home in our home, and the slim size would make it perfect for the little sliver of wall between the window and bookshelves.
