Please excuse my absence last week – Jordan’s sister came to stay for a few days and I took the week off to enjoy her visit. It’s always nice to have family around. 🙂
Remember a month or so ago when I talked about sprucing up my home office (you can read it here)? Well, not long after that post I was given the sad news that I would be needed in the office full time – so no more working from home for me. Boo.
In an effort to make lemonade from lemons, I’m trying to look on the bright side and appreciate the fact that
1) I have a job
2) I no longer need to work around all that bulky computer equipment in my little office.
It will definitely be much cuter without it. 😉
I put together a little mood board to kinda-sorta-maybe give you an idea of what I’m picturing as far as colors, textures, and style.
Nothing out of the ordinary here. I want to keep it simple with white walls – one (or possibly all?) of which will be planked. Side note: After planking the ceiling on the sun porch a couple of weeks ago, Jordan said he would definitely do that again – he’s going to be sorry he made that statement. 🙂 A simple wood desk – or antique table if I can find one within budget and size – a neutral patterned rug, and wood shelves for lots of storage and a chance to display fun little treasures for a bit of personality.
First up is paint. I think I’ve decided on a color called Dune White by Benjamin Moore.
I’m hoping to get painting done within the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for that update. What do you think of these office plans?
Have a wonderful week sweet friends!!
