Happy Monday and Happy Spring!
So, I just realized Easter is next weekend and I haven’t even had one stale Peep yet. You all know that Peeps taste best after they’ve been left to sit open for a few days, right?
I’m thinking stale Peeps would have made a nice snack as I puttered around the house, fluffing pillows and adding pops of green here and there to welcome the new season. Talk about a missed opportunity… 😉
Despite the lack of a delicious sugar-filled snack, the house now feels lighter, brighter and breezier thanks to a few quick changes.
I dug through my pillow stash and pulled out any covers featuring shades of white, ivory and soft beige. You know how I love my neutrals!
I decided to stick with the simple tray and silver dish filled with moss balls on the coffee table (you can see the three other spring coffee table looks here). The simplicity of this one just felt right.
I left that beautiful antique wood frame over the mantel and then channeled my inner Joanna Gaines and hung a Magnolia Wreath inside.
A simple stack of old books and a couple of glass vases sit off to one side. I have an overabundance of these little guys for some reason, so I plucked a few pieces from one for a subtle pop of green to peek through the glass.
And a magnolia stem and old glass bottle finish off the other side.
I’m loving how that frame and wreath pop off all the white.
Not much changed over on the apothecary cabinet. I simply swapped out the eucalyptus for a few cherry blossoms to balance out the green and bring a little more white to the front of the room.
A few more small sprinkles of green throughout, and this room is ready for the longer and warmer days ahead. Come on, Spring!
Speaking of green – remember my cute little fiddle leaf fig?
It’s doing quite well, thank you very much.
Two new leaves and counting.
I just might be able to do this plant thing after all. 🙂
And of course, the dining room got a little spring refresh too. That’s coming up later this week. I’ll give you a hint – it’s a lot of white, a lot of neutral, and a shot of green.
But you probably knew that already, didn’t you? 😉
