You all know I love my books. Not only do I love to read, but I love being surrounded by books throughout my home. New or old, hardcover or paperback – there is just something about books that makes any space feel extra cozy, and I have a fun and ridiculously easy little book project to share with you today.
Yep, you read that right – I made a DIY!!
Once you see how simple this is, you’ll understand how I pulled it off. 🙂
I was looking to add a little style to our nightstands so I put together this shabby book bundle.
Super cute, right?
All you need are some books you no longer want, or don’t mind tearing apart (if you don’t have any, they’re easily found at thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, etc. for cheap), and some garden twine.
Rip off the front and back covers and any of the title pages you don’t like, stack the books together, and tie the whole thing with the twine.
Pretty self explanatory, I know. But please just let me have my moment – I don’t often complete a project successfully. 🙂
I love this stack on the nightstand, but these little shabby book bundles would be cute anywhere.
Gathered on the mantel…
Piled in a wire basket…
Stacked with a weathered wood stool…
You get the idea.
No old/antique/fancy book required – most of mine were just plain ol’ paperbacks. And if you don’t have twine, you could always substitute yarn, string, rope or ribbon (how cute would these be tied in red ribbon at Christmas?).
And the best part?
This is so simple you can totally do this project while you’re watching
The Bachelor television tonight! Hehe. 🙂
Have a great week everyone!
