Do you love vintage olive buckets?
My pocketbook does not.
I see them from time to time at antique stores and online shops and they can be rather pricey. So imagine the pure elation when I stumbled across this bucket at World Market last Saturday.
It even has rusty handles and everything. *sigh*
I wanted to jump up and down and do a little dance right there in the store when I saw it, but I contained myself. I even tried to play it cool as I walk-ran over to grab it…you know how it is when your eyes land on something really good in the store – you’re positive someone is going to beat you over there and snatch it away…so I tried to be nonchalant, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t have anyone fooled.
I’m also pretty sure the one or two other shoppers in the store with me at the time (they had just opened) were not at all interested in this bucket, but one can never be too safe.
I decided to use my new find to keep extra blankets within easy reach to the couch. The size is perfect for a couple of cozy throws.
It’s official – I’m in love.
Did I mention that it comes in two sizes? I have the bigger one…
Or that it was 25% off? I think the sale is still going…
You just grabbed your keys and coat to run to the nearest World Market, didn’t you? Good idea. 🙂
Come back on Friday for a little winter decorating. Hint – I think it is my favorite look in our house to date. 🙂 🙂
