Umm….where exactly did the weekend go??? I had big plans to be super productive this weekend, and well…that didn’t quite happen.
I did manage to make some progress on the fireplace makeover (you can read that post here), I hope to have it finished up this week. Bad new is: I didn’t get it done. Good new is: I think I’m gonna like it. 🙂
And uhhh, that’s about all I (somewhat) accomplished. I also got some grocery shopping done, enjoyed a couple of pumpkin spice lattes, and made it to the final flea market for this year. Considering I wanted to complete the fireplace, clean out the basement, carve some pumpkins, finish painting the half bathroom, and bake an apple pie (in addition to grocery shopping, PSLs, and the flea market), I wouldn’t exactly call this weekend a success in the progress department, but that’s what next weekends are for, right?
Sometimes I feel like my life is one never ending to-do list. A lot of it is self-inflicted, but it can be quite overwhelming and discouraging at times. This weekend was one of those times. The more behind I feel on my to-do list, the less I seem to accomplish. Do you ever feel that way too?
You may have seen this little pillow in some of my earlier posts:
Enjoy Today. I spotted it at Pottery Barn earlier this fall and grabbed it right away. I thought it would be a good reminder to try to stay in the present instead of always focusing on what wasn’t done yesterday or what needs to be done tomorrow. I’m going to try to keep that sentiment in mind heading into this week. ENJOY TODAY. 🙂
Looking at pretty spaces isn’t a bad way to start the week off either, so let’s get to it!
I am absolutely crazy for that kitchen island, and the simplicity of the fall vignette is perfection. And how about that dining room? So pretty! I hope you all have a great week ahead. And don’t forget to Enjoy Today. 🙂
