Yesterday I shared with you some ideas I had for our bathroom remodel. I have a quick follow up to that based on a thought I just had for an old wood frame I picked up at an antiques store over the weekend.
I didn’t have an immediate use for this frame when I bought it, but I liked the character of the wood and knew I could probably come up with a variety of uses for it. I brought it home and leaned it up against the wall to give myself some time to think about what I wanted to do with it.
I walked past it today and was struck with the sudden idea of turning it into a medicine cabinet for our bathroom. I stopped and stared at the frame as I contemplated the thought, and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. The size is perfect and it will give me the opportunity to introduce the warm, weathered wood tones I love so much into this teeny tiny space.
It needs a good cleaning, and will need to have a mirror cut to size of course, but I showed it to Jordan and he said it should be fairly simple to build a box and attach it with a couple of hinges.
I’m going to think about it for a bit before I start putting this plan into action, but I’d love to hear your thoughts. What do you think of my idea for turning this old wood frame into a medicine cabinet? Think I should go for it, or should I stick with something more traditional? Share with me below!
